What to Photograph After an Accident
Photos can preserve useful context for reporting and repair discussions. Take them only from a safe location and never step into active traffic for a better angle.

Wide context
Capture the vehicles and surrounding road scene, lane markings, signals, and relevant signs when safe.
Vehicle details
Photograph each damaged area from multiple distances, plus the four corners of the vehicle and any debris or fluid location.
Information
Capture the other vehicle's plate and insurance card with permission, and photograph any report or tow information you receive.
For the estimate
Use clear daylight when possible and avoid filters. Photos help, but do not replace an in-person inspection.
